Wow. Patrick Thoresen is reported to leave SKA St. Petersburg. It’s not clear from the article I’ve read if this his own decision or not, but as far as I know his contract only extended to this season. The rumour is, that Thoresen is on his way to HC Lugano, in the Swiss League, with which he’s played before.
Thoresen has played 244 matches in the KHL, and he’s scored 245 points. He’s currently scored the most goals (or is it points overall? I’m not sure) of any foreigner in the KHL, and is the only Norwegian to ever win the Gagarin Cup, which he did with Salavat Yulaev in 2010/2011.
